It is a known fact that if you want to write a book, you must also be a reader. In other words, read the types of books you want to write. You must, also, know your facts to make sure that your book rings true, especially if your book is set during a certain time period or place or contains an actual historical person. I recently came across a series of books that, as a writer and grandparent, piqued my interest.
